Vascular Accreditation Process with ACR

ACR provides laboratory accreditation specific to vascular ultrasound testing. ACR Accreditation is offered in the following testing areas:

  • Peripheral
    • Arterial
    • Venous
  • Cerebrovascular
  • Abdominal
    • Liver
    • Renal
  • Deep Abdominal

The ACR Ultrasound Accreditation Program involves the acquisition of clinical images, submission of relevant physician reports corresponding to clinical images submitted, and quality control documentation. Sites must apply for accreditation in all categories of ultrasound services this site provides (e.g., OB, General, Gynecological, and/or Vascular).

If any other modality of ultrasound is performed in your lab, you MUST apply for all modalities. Unlike ICAVL, you do not have the option of selecting just one modality of ultrasound for accreditation.
