The Accreditation Process with ICAVL
ICAVL provides laboratory accreditation specific to vascular ultrasound
testing. ICAVL Accreditation is offered in the following testing areas:
ICAVL accreditation is made up of two crucial steps.
1. Self-evaluation using the ICANL Standards
Staff members are encouraged to make any necessary changes to the laboratory’s operations to ensure at a minimum, substantial compliance to the Standards before proceeding to completion of the application.
2. Completion of the application and submission of actual case studies for review
The case studies and final reports are crucial in determining the laboratory's compliance with the Standards, and are the basis for judgment of the quality of work that laboratories perform.
