CardioServ 2025 Year in Review: Advancing Quality, Innovation, and Better Outcomes

2025 year in review cardioserv

Last Updated on January 6, 2026 by Don Gerig, RDCS

As we reflect on the past year, one theme stands out clearly: progress with purpose. From supporting accreditation success across the country to advancing AI research and laying the groundwork for the future of cardiovascular education, 2025 marked an important chapter in CardioServ’s evolution.

Our mission remains unchanged—helping cardiovascular programs achieve excellence through better education, better quality improvement, and ultimately, better patient outcomes.

Supporting Excellence Through Accreditation

One of the most rewarding aspects of this year was partnering with cardiovascular programs across the country as they successfully achieved accreditation while continuing to provide ongoing accreditation and quality improvement support to dozens of facilities nationwide.

We are proud to partner with flagship health systems and institutions that place a strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and patient-centered care, including:

  • TidalHealth
  • MaineHealth
  • JFK Medical Center
  • AdventHealth
  • NYC Health + Hospitals
  • Lahey Hospital and Medical Center
  • Eisenhower Medical Center

These collaborations reflect more than compliance—they represent long-term commitments to continuous improvement, staff development, and sustainable accreditation success.

Advancing Accreditation Through Education and Technology

This year also marked an expansion in how we educate and support cardiovascular teams through technology. CardioServ hosted its first live webinars focused on accreditation strategy, including real-time demonstrations of eCardioServ, giving participants a practical view of how structured workflows and gap assessments support both accreditation and ongoing quality improvement. We also introduced a new Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) testing and quality tracking module within eCardioServ and will continue this focus with a dedicated HCM webinar scheduled for February.

Innovation in Action: AI Research & Peer-Reviewed Publication

Innovation continued to be a core focus this year as CardioServ contributed to meaningful advancements in artificial intelligence applied to cardiovascular imaging.

Our work validating AI-driven echocardiography analysis achieved a major milestone with publication in Heart Rhythm Open, the official open-access journal of the Heart Rhythm Society. (Article: Auto-Contour LA – A Semantic Segmentation Approach to Left Atrial Navigation in Intracardiac Echocardiography)

This research demonstrated real-world clinical validation of AI technology—moving beyond theory into practical, peer-reviewed application. It reflects our belief that innovation must be clinically grounded, evidence-based, and thoughtfully integrated to truly improve care.

Investing in People & Evolving Our Educational Mission

This year also brought important internal milestones. We welcomed Don Gerig, RDCS, Medical Education Manager, strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality, outcomes-driven education aligned with clinical practice and accreditation standards.

At the same time, we officially retired the CardioServ CME platform, which served thousands of learners over the years and laid the foundation for the next evolution of our educational mission. We are deeply grateful for the impact this platform had on the cardiovascular imaging community.

Expanding Access: Educational Grants & Global Impact

In alignment with our commitment to community and professional support, CardioServ launched an educational grant during Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM).

This initiative provided free educational resources to individuals and programs in need internationally, reinforcing our belief that access to quality education should never be a barrier to professional growth or patient safety.

Looking Ahead: Introducing Better Cardiology

While we are proud of what we’ve accomplished, we are even more excited about what’s ahead.

In July 2026, CardioServ will launch a new outcomes-focused, quality education CME platform—Better Cardiology.

Built on a simple but powerful philosophy:

Better Education → Better Outcomes → Better Cardiology

The new platform will expand beyond traditional CME to include:

  • Live and on-demand webinars
  • Accreditation-aligned quality improvement initiatives
  • Opportunities to earn CME credit for quality improvement work already completed
  • Support for MOC, MIPS, and evolving regulatory requirements
  • Integrated education designed to align learning with real clinical impact

This platform represents not just a new product—but a more holistic approach to supporting cardiovascular teams in today’s complex healthcare environment.

With Gratitude, Moving Forward

To our clients, collaborators, educators, and partners—thank you. Your trust and shared commitment to excellence continue to drive everything we do.

As we move into the coming year, we look forward to building on this momentum and continuing our mission of advancing cardiovascular care through education, quality, and innovation.
